Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) Waiver For India : Look What Business Lobby Wanted From White House.

Issues keeps changing but the rules remains same; it is like when economy changes history repeats, and these change in economy brings an opportunity to create huge amount of wealth. Okay coming back to the point, when UPA govt won the confidence vote a month back, there was a business community behind their win (friend of Amar singh, right?).

When decision on Nuke deal was getting delayed by NSG group, one of the US largest corporate GE was facing the heat (Click for more details) "General Electric Co, the world’s largest power equipment maker and a key nuclear reactor player, has voiced its concerns about the possibility of the Indo-US nuclear deal not making it to the US Congress in time for ratification before the impending presidential elections, a prerequisite for American firms to kick-off business in India."

U.S is going to get major benefit from the deal. U.S. would be supplying India with both nuclear technology and reactors, should the deal progress beyond endless chatter and talks. The U.S.A. is projected to mint over $150 billion of the deal. That precisely is what the Left is worried about. The deal would mean that India is completely dependent on the U.S. for supply of technology and reactors. This places India in a vulnerable position,open to being exploited for the U.S. would be able to dictate the price,terms and conditions as they please.

Now, all of a sudden India Inc got NSG waiver? Once again it is the power of US business lobby who has influenced US political leaders, and US leaders started talk with 4 memebrs of NSG seperately in a closed room in Vienna on Saturday who were not agree on India's Nuke deal draft.

And finally, India is celebrating this victory as if it is because of our effort, one should not forget that "Business demand drives all the deals, it's not country, not people, not intelligence but its money who is closing the deals."
